USC Emergency Response Plans are designed around the nationally recognized Incident Command System (ICS). The Incident Command System is a standardized approach to the command, control, and coordination of emergency response. The Office of Fire Safety & Emergency Planning offers training on the ICS system for staff who may have a role in emergency response within their departments and schools.
