Events on campus must comply with safety regulations required by the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety, as well as with university requirements. These requirements apply particularly to outdoor events and events held in large assembly areas on campus, such as Bovard Auditorium, the Tutor Campus Center Ballroom, or Town & Gown. Event planners must submit their safety plans for review by several campus departments.
