I. Steps to open Emergency Directory 2021 on your phone.

1. iPhone with Outlook

Step 1: First Open up Outlook app on your phone.

Step 2: There are two Options to access the directory.

Step 3: Option 1 allows direct access to the Directory through your Outlook Email.

Step 4: Option 2 allows access through your Home Screen of your Phone.

Step 5: Option 1: Click Open button to Access via Email.

Step 6: Enter Password provided by Angela Dibenedetto.

Step 7: Congratulations! You are in. Welcome to USC Emergency Directory 2021.

Step 8: OPTION 2 – this option allows you to save a shortcut to your Home Screen.

Step 9: OPTION 2 – Click and HOLD the Open Button. Then Click on Open Link.

Step 10: Enter your @usc.edu Email Account under the Sign in username section, OR

Step 11: Sign-in with your Shibboleth Account (NetID and Password). This sign-in might be skipped if you have login previously.

Step 12: Click on Safari.

Step 13: Click Yes for staying Signed in.

Step 14: Click on Enter Password Button.
Enter the password provided by Angela DiBenedetto with Fire Safety Emergency and Planning Department.

Step 15: Click OK.

Step 16: Congratulations! You are in. Welcome to USC Emergency Directory 2021.

2. iPhone with Apple Mail

Step 1: Open up Mail app on your phone.

Step 2: Click Open button on the email page of USC Emergency Directory 2021 from your Email Inbox.

Step 3: Enter your @usc.edu Email Account under the Sign in username section, OR

Step 4: Sign-in with your Shibboleth Account (NetID and Password). This sign-in might be skipped if you have login previously.

Step 5: Click on Safari.

Step 6: Click Yes for staying Signed in.

Step 7: Click on Enter Password Button.
Enter the password provided by Angela DiBenedetto with Fire Safety Emergency and Planning Department.

Step 8: Click OK.

Step 9: Congratulations! You are in. Welcome to USC Emergency Directory 2021.

II. How to Add ShortCut to Home Screen

Step 1: Click on the Share Button at the bottom the screen.

Step 2: Click on Add to Home page.

Step 3: Enter ShortCut name as USC Emergency Directory. Then Click Add on the right upper corner of the screen.


Step 4: The ShortCut is now on your Home Screen, you may access your USC Emergency Directory from this icon in the future.


III. Test your ShortCut from the Home Screen

Step 1: To test the ShortCut, click on the Icon to access the USC Emergency Directory.

Step 2: Click Enter Password Button.
Enter the password provided by Angela DiBenedetto with Fire Safety Emergency and Planning Department.

Step 3: The ShortCut you created works well. You are in now.


FAQ – Questions about the Emergency Directory 2021.

1. Question: Why do I need to enter my credential on USC Shibboleth (NetID and Password) all the time?
   Answer:    As part of the 0365 security, you will be required to login to shibboleth as part of the security. However, you do not need to login to shibboleth if you are using Outlook on iPhone or if you have login previously to another site that uses shibboleth.

2. Question: Whom do I contact if I misplaced my password?
    Answer:    Please request the password from Angela DiBenedetto.

3. Question: Do I need to download the USC Emergency Directory document to my device?
    Answer:    No. For security reasons, we recommend that you save the link to the Home Screen of your device.

4. Question: How to resolve the issue when trying to access the Emergency Directory on Android?
    Answer:    Due to Android’s default setting, you will need to follow the instructions from the video above and make some changes to the Drive Setting so that it does not default to Drive PDF viewer.

5. Question: What if I use other email programs on my mobile device?
    Answer:    Due to numerous email applications on the mobile device, we can only test Outlook and Apple Mail on iPhone and Outlook and Google Mail on Android Phone.

6. Question: How do I request further assistance?
